AugustusTours’ Active Holidays department is your specialist for tailor-made cycling and walking tours in the most beautiful, fascinating and culture-rich regions of Central and Eastern Germany.

We have been organising cycling tours since all the way back in 1998. It all started with the Elbe Cycle Path, which we now include from Prague right through to Cuxhaven (though not necessarily all in one go!) Our programme also includes tours on the Oder-Neiße-Cycle Path, through the idyllic landscapes of the Spreewald and along the Spree & Saale Cycle Path. The Mulde Cycle Path will be on offer for the first time from 2010 onwards.

Since 2006 our brochure has also included two walking tours along the Saxon Wine Route and through the sandstone hills of the Elbe Valley.

The Active Holidays team takes both pleasure and care in mounting their wheeled steeds or donning their walking boots in order to test out the exciting components which will go on to make up your next tour. The local knowledge gained is applied during the tour planning process, thereby ensuring that your tour is a unique experience.
