This cycle tour connects two significant cultural and historical cities. Enjoy the magic of the golden city of Prague before continuing on to Germany through the rural areas of the Czech Republic. Enjoy the unspoiled nature and pretty Elbe towns such as Melnik and Leitmeritz. You will follow the river to Dresden passing through the bizarre rock formations of the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Experience the magnificent countryside, the Saxon vineyards and the culturally significant towns and cities between Magdeburg and Bad Schandau. Baroque palaces, castles and parks invite you to put in numerous stops along your cycle tour. A wide variety of restaurants, wine cellars and rustic pubs on both sides of the river cater to all tastes.

Category A: Mainly centrally located three and four star hotels and guesthouses (in small towns you will be staying overnight in comfortable pensions).

Category B: Three star hotels, guesthouses and pensions usually close to the cycle path.
