Fernsehturm Berlin

From the 30th of September 2011 to 30th September 2012 the antiquities collection of the National Museums in Berlin will present the first comprehensive exhibition about the history, art and culture of the city of Pergamon, now Bergama, Turkey on the west coast. A variety of sculptures, mosaics, coins and archaeological objects that were never shown before allow the beholder a realistic picture of life in an ancient city.

A special highlight is the monumental 360-degree panoramic image of the ancient city of Pergamon on a scale of 1:1, which gives visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the period 129 AD and to gain a vivid impression of the mountain fortress of Pergamon and its spectacular Roman buildings. The artwork was created by Yadegar Asisi. With his huge panoramic images in the so-called Panometer in Leipzig and Dresden he reminds on the great panoramas of the 19th Century.

Come with us to the mountain fortress of Pergamon and discover Berlin.
