Itinerary

• Day 1: Individual arrival to Stralsund
  The historic Hanseatic city of Stralsund is the perfect place to start an unforgettable cycling holiday along the Baltic Sea coast, exploring the islands of Ruegen, Hiddensee and Usedom.
  Overnight stay in Stralsund
• Day 2: Cycle tour on Hiddensee: Stralsund – Hiddensee – Wittow (approx. 20 – 38 km + ferry ride)
  Just off the coast of Stralsund lies the island of Hiddensee. After a morning boat trip, you’ll set off on your first cycle tour across this car-free sanctuary. Hiddensee has kept its timeless charm; since the early 20th century, writers and painters have fallen under its spell, earning it the nickname ‘Artists’ Island’. Later, a ferry carries you over to Rügen for a short ride to Wittow in the far north.

• Day 3: Cycle tour on Rügen: Wittow – Bergen (approx. 56 km)
  The first leg of today’s stage takes you across the Schaabe, a scenic seven-mile sand bar connecting the Jasmund and Wittow peninsulas in the north of Rügen. From here, the choice is yours: head towards the iconic chalk cliffs and the Königsstuhl, cycling through charming seaside resorts, or take a more leisurely, direct route through the heart of the island to Bergen.

• Day 4: Cycle tour on Rügen: Bergen – Greifswald (approx. 48 km)
  Starting in the heart of the island, this stage leads you south towards the Glewitz ferry. En route, you can visit the former royal residence of Putbus, still known today as the White City. In Glewitz, you’ll take the ferry across to Stahlbrode on the mainland. From there, the journey continues through idyllic tree-lined avenues, forming a green tunnel that leads you all the way to Greifswald.

• Day 5: Cycle tour on Usedom: Greifswald – Kaiserbäder (approx. 50 - 57 km + train ride)
  From Greifswald, a short train ride takes you to Anklam, the birthplace of aviation pioneer Otto Lilienthal. Your cycle tour then leads you across the Peenestrom to the Karnin Lift Bridge. Once part of a 360-metre railway bridge connecting mainland Pomerania to Usedom, this impressive lift section remains today as a protected technical monument. From here, you’ll cross onto the island and follow quiet paths through the southern countryside. Passing Kamminke, the route takes you through Usedom’s scenic interior to the elegant Imperial Spas of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, and Bansin.
  Overnight stay in Heringsdorf/ Bansin/ Ahlbeck
• Day 6: Cycle tour on Usedom: Kaiserbäder – North Usedom (approx. 25-45 km)
  A shorter ride awaits you today, giving you plenty of time for a refreshing dip in the Baltic Sea or a leisurely stroll through the magnificent town centres of the Usedom seaside resorts. Your route then follows the coastal cliffs, staying close to miles of sandy beaches as you head towards the north of the island. The rolling terrain is rewarded with breathtaking views over the sea. Finally, the Peenemünde/Zinnowitz region welcomes you with its fascinating Historical Technical Museum.
  Overnight stay in Zinnowitz or surrounding area
• Day 7: North Usedom – Stralsund (approx. 43-60 km + train journey
  Your final days ride takes you through fragrant pine forests and along scenic coastal groves. The route leads you past striking cliffs as you make your way via Wolgast or Peenemünde towards Greifswald. From here, a relaxing train journey brings you back to the starting point of your Baltic Sea cycling tour.
