In September 2019, the reconstructed apartments at the Residenzschloss Dresden(Royal Palace) reopened. Thanks to a great deal of hard work, expense and professional expertise, it is now possible to get an authentic experience of the palace’s magnificent 18th-century interior. But art lovers can also expect an exciting year in 2020. After several years of refurbishment, the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister in Dresden opened its doors on 29 January 2020. For the first time since 2013, it is possible to visit the entire Picture Gallery again. Another major celebration will take place on the occasion of the exhibition "300 Years of Dresden Kupferstich-Kabinett. Collecting in the Present". Don't miss the chance to experience the oldest publicly accessible specialist collection for art on paper in the German-speaking countries.
