AugustusTours on board of MS Elbe Princesse

For some years now, AugustusTours organises fitting programmes of shore excursions for river cruises in Germany. Especially tour operators from Great Britain like to place the organisation of the ground handling for their river cruises in our hands. The Elbe River, the Rhine and the Danube are very popular destinations for guests to explore Germany and its fascinating cities and landscapes. Our specialty is of course the Elbe River being so to speak at our front door. MS Elbe Princesse visits Dresden during cruise on Elbe River

In the beginning of June the brand new river cruise ship MS Elbe Princesse was sailing the Elbe River from Prague to Berlin, passing the porcelain city Meissen, the city of Otto Magdeburg and the Luther town of Wittenberg. For one day it landed in Dresden for a day excursion to the baroque Florence of the Elbe which AugustusTours was happy to have organised. This was the best opportunity for Katja and Dorothea from the team of AugustusTours to welcome the guests in Dresden and have a look at the new ship. The vessel is special for being able to navigate even in low water levels, which makes it very interesting for tour operators. The captain himself showed Katja and Dorothea around and even the ship´s bridge could be visited. A very nice atmosphere and the tasteful decoration of MS Elbe Princesse impressed us very much and in that moment we felt like joining a river cruise on the Elbe. But unfortunately we needed to return to the office for the afternoon.
