During the last three years a lot has happened at the museum in Bayreuth. The Richard Wagner Museum, opened in 1976, was renovated and has been extended by an additional building. From now on, three permanent exhibitions are waiting to be discovered.

The Villa Wahnfried, where Wagner spent the last decade of his life, tells the Wagner fans more about the personal life of the musician. It was this very place where Wagner finished his world famous opera cycle “Ring des Nibelungen” and also created parts of “Parsifal”.
