Day 1: Individual arrival at Garmisch-Partenkirchen/surrounding area
After your arrival, explore the famous Olympic town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and discover the beautiful pedestrian zone, the traditionally painted houses and cozy beer gardens.
Overnight stay in Garmisch-Partenkirchen or in the surrounding area -
Day 2: Garmisch - Mittenwald (approx. 20 km, walking time: approx. 5 h, + 750 m, - 550 m).
First you hike past the famous ski jump and through the impressive Partnachklamm gorge, where thundering masses of water have dug deep into the rock. Continue over the Wamberg to the Elmauer Alm and through blooming meadows and valleys to the Lautersee and Ferchensee lakes. You will spend the night in Mittenwald, the place of violin making and Lüftl painting.
Overnight stay in Mittenwald -
Day 3: Mittenwald - Leutasch (approx. 14 km, walking time: approx. 4 h, + 200 m, - 0 m)
Today you will hike into the Tyrolean mountains! The Geisterklamm (ghost gorge), boldly built over a high gorge, awaits you to cross on bridges and footbridges. Afterwards you will hike through a dreamlike high valley, in which the popular vacation resort Leutasch lies framed by mountain ranges.

Day 4: Leutasch - Nauders (approx. 15 km, walking time: approx. 4.5 h, + 200m, - 700 m).
Through lonely high moor areas and forests you reach the crossing on the Buchner Höhe. Now you walk on a beautiful hiking trail down into the green Inn valley past the rock faces of the Hohe Munde. An organised transfer will take you from the historic market town of Telfs to Nauders am Reschenpass in the Tyrolean Oberland.

Day 5: Landeck - Reschen area (approx. 14 km, walking time: approx. 5 h, + 550 m, - 850 m).
By cable car you get to the Mutzkopf, where you start your hike to the Schwarz- and Grünsee lakes. You climb up to the Three-Country Boundary Stone, where you stand exactly on the border between Italy, Austria and Switzerland. Across the alpine pastures you descend to the huge Reschen Lake, in whose main town of the same name you are todays guest. Welcome to Italy!
Overnight stay in Reschen or in the surrounding area -
Day 6: Reschen area - Naturno area (approx. 18 km, walking time: approx. 5 h, + 450 m, - 850 m).
The tour starts with a bus ride (costs not included in the tour price) at the Reschen lake with a view of the sunken church of Graun. Through the nature reserve at Lake Haider you hike down to the alpine dairy village of Burgeis and along varied meadow and Waal paths to Schluderns. By train you reach Naturno through vineyards and apple orchards.

Day 7: Naturno area - Merano (approx. 19 km, walking time: approx. 5 h, + 400 m, - 600 m)
You hike to the watercourses of the "Sagenweg" (legend path). Numerous taverns along the Waalwege entice you to take a break. In the afternoon you will reach the Tappeiner Promenade, whose exotic flowers you will follow to the Merano Cathedral Square. Now you have reached the destination of your impressive hiking week and can toast to your experiences in the pretty city center of Merano.

Day 8: Individual return journey
With beautiful and unforgettable memories in your luggage you start your journey home. We will gladly organize your return trip to Garmisch as a collective transfer (additional costs). Please let us know your wish. If you would like to extend your stay, you can book additional nights in Garmisch and Merano.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is well connected to Germany's major railway stations. On weekends, direct trains run from major cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, and Nuremberg. From Munich, regular regional trains provide additional convenient connections. Current timetable and price information can be found at www.bahn.de and www.vor.at.
Arrival by car:
You can reach Garmisch-Partenkirchen by car via the A 95 freeway. At the end follow the B 2 to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. On the A8 freeway, drive towards Augsburg and turn off onto the B17. This federal highway takes you via the B 23 to the B2, which will bring you to the centre of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. You will find a good overview of public and multi-storey car parks at www.parkopedia.de.
