Round trip "Culinary Germany"
Journey

What to expect
Germany has 16 states. In each of them you can find a unique dish. The influences of the neighboring countries are most visible in Germany's regional cuisine. Bavaria being close to Austria and loves Knödel, sausages and Schnitzel. Spätzle, Sauerkraut and Maultaschen are among the favorites in many southern states. The northwest of Germany proudly presents a variety of seafood. And naturally, dishes from the eastern regions are infused by eastern flavors and other cultures due to the different political situation affecting agricultural diversity during the socialist era.
Moreover, Germany is home to around 5,000 different beers brewed in more than 1,300 breweries. A total of 13 wine-growing regions gives Germany its diverse range of wines. On this tour you can taste both German beer and wine.

My tip in Dresden: Do not miss to taste the Dresden Eierschecke, a typical Saxon cake made of curd cheese and eggs. It is so delicious!
