Day 1: Individual arrival at Rüdesheim
After your arrival take a stroll through the old wine town. If you have enough time, go to the Niederwalddenkmal, a famous monument. And you will have a great view of the Rhine valley up there.

Day 2: Rüdesheim – Lorch (approx. 21 km, walking time: approx. 5 hrs)
Start your journey with a trip with the cable car to the high ridges of the Middle-Rhine valley. You will get a scenic view of the estuary of Nahe. Hike past the hunting fortress Niederwald towards Assmanshausen. It is a rustic town famous for its wines and timbered houses. Finish in Lorch, also a wine town with characteristic features.

Day 3: Lorch – Dörscheid/Kaub (approx. 13 km, walking time: approx. 4 – 4.5 hrs)
Today you will go over the border from Hessen to Rheinland-Pfalz. The path you follow is surrounded by a few castles and ruins next to some hills and meadows you will walk by. Dörscheid or Kaub are tiny wine towns, you will stay overnight in one of them. If you want, take a stroll through the narrow alleys and find a nice restaurant with local wine for dinner.

Day 4: Dörscheid/Kaub – St. Goarshausen and surroundings (approx. 19 km, walking time: approx. 6 hrs)
As legends told about the fair stone Lorely you probably never expected to see it, or even climb on it. Now you get to do it. From there you will get an unforgettable panoramic view. Famous is also the three-castle view: the castles Katz (cat), Maus (mouse) and Rheinfels (Rhine stone). You will spend the night at St. Goarshausen.

Day 5: St. Goarshausen – Kamp-Bornhofen (approx. 21 km, walking time: approx. 6 hrs)
Walk through the idyllic path inside the protected landscape Filsener surrounded by castles, winkled paths and a mythical feeling. Finish this day´s journey at Kamp-Bornhofen, where the two castles Liebenstein and Sterrenberg are built. The two castles originate, so tells a legend "Feindliche Brüder" (hostile brothers), there.

Day 6: Kamp-Bornhofen – Braubach (approx. 17 km, walking time: approx. 5.5 hrs)
Take a book about the legends on the Rhine with you, because today you will see stuff, of what legends are made off. So you will see the castle Liebeneck and the mills of Dinkelhofer. Another highlight on your tour will be the impressive castle Marksburg. Marksburg is completely conserved and is one of the UNESCO-heritage. Later you will finish today in Braubach, a wine-grower town with the characteristic timbered houses.

Day 7: Braubach – Koblenz (approx. 20 km, walking time: approx. 5.5 hrs)
The last stage of your journey is quite long. First cross a tributary river to the Rhine at Lahnstein and continue to the slide of Kerkertser, where you will walk along, as well as the Rupertsklamm, which is a fascinating gorge. But even if the way today is long, you will be rewarded with beautiful landscapes and scenic views. The great final on the last day is the Deutsches Eck (German Corner) in Koblenz, where Mosel and Rhine join. Stay overnight in Koblenz.

Day 8: Individual departure from Koblenz
Take your time to review your memories of the journey before spending some time discovering Koblenz. It is one of the oldest cities in Germany and has several old churches and castles to be visited. If you want to stay for an additional day or two in Koblenz or Rüdesheim, we will help you book and plan.
