Save the date 2027: 200th anniversary of Beethoven's death

Ludwig van Beethoven ranks to be the most frequently played classical composer and pioneer of Romantic music. He was born in Bonn in 1770 – being baptised on the 17th December the same year. Due to difficulties hearing which, in the course of time, had even led to deafness, Beethoven focused more and more on composing.
