Itinerary

Day 1: Individual arrival to Dresden
On the first day of your group trip to Dresden, your guests will get to know the Saxon capital of culture. During a thematic city tour, your group will learn important details, interesting anecdotes and interesting facts about the history, art and architecture of Dresden and Saxony.
Overnight stay in Dresden
Day 2: Royal Palace and Albertinum or Old Masters picture gallery
In the morning we recommend a visit to Dresden Royal Palace. It hosts several exhibitions, including the Green Vaults and the Armory. During an overview tour, you will learn everything worth knowing. In the afternoon you can plan a visit to the Albertinum. Here the collection of the New Masters is housed with works ranging from Romanticism by Caspar David Friedrich to contemporary art by Gerhard Richter. Alternatively, you may prefer to visit the Old Masters picture gallery, which shines in new splendor after an extensive reconstruction.

Day 3: Excursion to Meissen or visit to Dresden New Town
Only about 40 km from Dresden the enchanting city of Meissen is located. It gained notoriety mainly because of the porcelain. You are welcome to include a visit to the Porcelain Manufactory on your art tour to Dresden. A visit to the workshop and the extensive exhibition is definitely worthwhile. If you would like to experience more art in Dresden, we recommend a visit to Dresden New Town (Neustadt). Although Dresden boasts mainly with its Baroque Old Town, the art scene continues in the hip New Town. Many galleries, cafés and small craft shops await you here. Visit the Kunsthof Passage, a very special place of art. A visit to the Kügelgenhaus is also a good idea, a wonderful collection of works of Dresden Romanticism.

Day 4: Individual return journey or extension
Today you start the journey home or extend your stay. Other ideas would be a visit to the arts and crafts museum in Pillnitz (with a visit to the park) or a trip to Leipzig, which also has very outstanding artworks to offer with the GRASSI Museum.
